How do I tan my back?
Our Self Tan Mists are perfect for those hard to reach areas. However our top tip is to turn the Mitt on your hand so you are applying or blending with the back of your hand vs your palm when reaching your upper back. Or try popping your Mitt on a wooden spoon for that extra reach!

How can you see where you apply?
Our Self Tan Dark range has natural-looking a tint to help guide your application, so you can simply buff the foam in with a Mitt and be rest assured to have a flawless finish everytime.
How long will my tan last?
Depending on your skincare routine your tan will last up to 7 days and fade even.To get upto 3 more days of your tan, ensure to exfoliate every 2-3 days (this will also ensure an even fade) and use our Prep and Maintain Moisturiser daily to give your skin the hydration it needs.
Can I use Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse on the face?
All our products are safe to use on the face, however we recommend using just the excess on your mitt for application or trying our Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist for the easiest face tan, bursting with skincare actives!
When do I shower the tan off?
For our Self Tan Dark range we recommend rinsing off after 4-8 hours.
This bottle & cap are 100% recyclable. Simply remove the pump which is not quite recyclable yet and dispose of it in general waste. We are working on making the pump recylable.

This product is well worth every penny! When I bought it I hesitated because it was slightly more expensive than other popular brands.. However it is totally streak free and low maintenance. Leaves a perfect golden glow and not even nearly orange! Would definatley recommend this product to anyone who wants to look tanned all year round!

I have been a continuous user of this tan ever since it came out, I first tried the lotion version which is amazing also, after finishing that bottle I then went onto the mousse which I preferred as it was quicker to use for me. I have pale skin and with just one coat of this mousse after 8 hours of developing I am left with a gorgeous natural looking tan that is not streaky what so ever and lasts for well over a week with or without moisturising regularly. If I want the tan to be even darker I will wait an hour for the first application to dry then add another layer, I do this before I go to bed then of the morning after having a shower I am left with a lovely golden glow that isn’t orange and looks really natural. I have had people ask me if I have been abroad when wearing this tan as it really doesn’t look like a fake tan at all. What I find with most fake tans is that when they start to fade that’s when they make your skin look not so good but one doesn’t do that, you can’t really tell that it’s fading at all. I apply it with the st tropez tanning mitt which is the best mitt I have used and it makes the application of the mousse easy too. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that likes to have a light or even dark tan and I think that it would work well on any skin colour/type. Don’t be scared if you’re pale as I am as it works wonders for me and will for you too. Definitely worth the price and I can’t see myself using another fake tan again 🙂

I’ve been a self tan user on and off for the last few years and I’ve tried many different brands and ways to apply it and there’s nothing like this! I was expecting it to be too dark for my skin as I’m pretty fair but it wasn’t and it made my skin look so natural! If you are a first time tan user I would definitely recommend going for this one as it leaves you looking gorgeously sunkissed. It doesn’t smell as bad as other tans I’ve used which for me is always a bonus. I’ve had people ask if I’ve been on holiday and when I explain that it’s fake tan they say they would never have guessed. I don’t think I will use any other fake tan now and this is definitely worth the money!

I am on my third bottle and finding the mousse easy to apply. I put it on at night and when I shower in the morning am always disappointed that the colour is not dark enough. Having said that , it is one of the best tanning products I have used. I don’t use a mitt, so maybe I will buy one with my next purchase and see if that makes a difference to the colour.

Best self tanner. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of pounds trying out the darkest, longest lasting and best colour tanners on the market. This firmly takes the lead. Love the green tinge in the colour guide – excellent to give you a deep olive rather than deep red/orange shade.

I am a fairly new costumer to St.Tropez I have bought two bottles of the self tan dark mousse 200ml and with my first bottle I used a few times with no trouble but suddenly when I went to apply it again a few days later halfway through my application I realized that the pump on my bottle was broken and would not pump anything out while the bottle was still at least half full and I tried for a while to get it to work with no luck so I ended up just unscrewing the top and had to finish off the rest of the bottle without getting the normal mousse” it was just pure liquid which was extremely messy and frustrating but then I was still very pleased with the results I did get before the pump was broken so I bought a second bottle thinking I might have broken the first one myself but unfortunately this happened again to the second bottle also which was only used once and was still almost full!!! The tan that I get WHEN THE PUMP IS WORKING is incredible but when I cant get the foam that comes out through the pump it’s not the same because it gets way too watery and causes streaking and staining. Hopefully it doesn’t happen to anyone else because it’s surely a mess! So be sure to keep your receipts because if I had remembered it would have been at least nice to get a replacement and a refund I am disappointed that it’s such a great product that has been quite a hassle to use from something so annoying! “

I love this product! I have to say, when applying I did find I had some minor streaks however, after my 8 hours the tan I got was beautiful! Some tans are orange but this tan really is natural looking. I am pale and the tan still looks very natural. I brought this product to put on prior to my holiday to give me a glow and it worked wonders!

I’ve tried a few fake tanning products Garnier Ambre Solaire Dry Body Mist (the light one and the regular one), L’oreal Nutrisummer Lotion, and Skin wear spray tan… but I’ve never tried St.Tropez although I am always tempted to try it whenever I see it at the department store, i can’t decide between the bronzing spray or the everyday airbrush.

I tan easily but find that most false tans hardly change my colour until I tried this. It gives a lovely colour which looks very natural, no streaks and so easy to use, it automatically adjusts to match your skin tone, even the dreaded ‘biscuits/curry’ smell is very slight. St Tropez Dark is THE only tan that works absolute wonders for me and will forever be my favourite summer time tan.
I use the St Tropez tan moisturiser on my knees and elbows before hand, then I use the St Tropez mitt to apply.
Starting at my feet, I use gentle sweeping motions working up my body. I recommend to leave overnight, at least 8 hours (longer if you can).
In the morning I shower without shower gel just warm water.
I am left with the most beautiful bronzed skin that I’ve ever achieved with a self tanner. Perfect!

This is one of my favourite tans from St Tropez. It goes on easier and smoother than the original mousse and sinks in quicker in my opinion. It’s not as drying as other mousses and the result is a really realistic and dark tan. It’s especially excellent for legs (which don’t always pick up tan as well) but I would recommend using a different product for the face. I’m quite fair but tan in the sun easily and I find the dark mousse a bit too dark for my face, whereas the original mousse is fine. I use a mitt to apply mine and I’ve never had a problem, it’s always a very even application.

I used it with the St Tropez mitt, this mousse is so simple to use that even idiots like me can’t even get it wrong!
It glides all over the skin and absorbs easily so that you can see if any blending in is necessary. I only put a little on and it goes a long way, leaving my skin to develop a gorgeous colour. It goes on even and doesn’t leave any streaks and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky.
There is no horrible smell and no dodgy streaks if you use the mitt correctly!
A must have for anyone wanting to look like they’ve just stepped off the plane!

Drys really quickly so is good if you need to use it before a night out, it also has a lovely brown glow to it which still had a very natural appearance.
